These wood trees are cost effective and easy to make. They will go great on any mantel or shelf!
Supplies used:
- 1×2 furring strips
- wood glue
- white and green paint
- Chop saw
- Orbital sander (but sand paper works too)

Cut your first end at a 20 degree angle.

Measure out 7 inches from long point to long point. I draw a quick line down the side so I can place it right in the middle, and not guess.

After you cut one at 7 inches, cut three more at: 6, 5 and 4 inches long.

Put wood glue on the TOP of the bottom three pieces.

Use your finger to smear it so it’s not a bead of glue.

Place all of the pieces flat and use a wood clamp to hold in place. Tighten the wood clamp down at tight as possible while making sure the wood pieces lay flat.

After drying for a few hours, give the tree a quick sand.

Then add your base coat of white paint. I am just using acrylic craft paint for fast drying.

After the white has dried, add your green paint, or what ever color you choose.

After the green has dried, give a sand and distress to your liking.

Make three for a cute set!
