Make your own chunky bunny shelf sitters! With just a few dollars you can make some adorable Spring and Easter decor.
I did a LIVE tutorial on this you can view here: https://fb.watch/bK09Ue1pUr/
Supplies:
- bunny tracer (mine is from Dollar Tree)
- scrap pieces of pine 1×6 at least 10″ long
- paint
Start with your tracer and make sure it fits on your wood.

Trace your cutout with pencil or marker.

Using your bandsaw, cut relief cuts like shown below.

Continue to cut out the shape with your bandsaw, scroll saw or jig saw.

Once you have it all cut out, sand any rough edges. Sand a small flat spot on the bottom so that the bunny can sit and not roll when placed down. I’m using an edge belt sander here but you can improvise and use an orbital sander too.

Leave unfinished for someone else to paint…

or paint yourself! I mixed a little water in with my Apple Barrel paint to give it more of a watercolor look.
